MS Exchange 2007 "Send-As" Issue
Currently we are having issues adding send-as permission on Exchange 2007 EMC and Exchange management shell. Tried a couple of things via GUI and Exchange management shell:
Set-mailbox -Grantsendonbehalf
Add-ADPermission -extendrights send-as -user
It would initially show on EMC, but after 10-15 minutes when being refresh, the user that was given rights to send-as would disappear on EMC.
Domain Controller with all FSMO roles is on - Windows 2003 R2 SP2
Exchange 2007 Server CCR is on - Update rollup 3, SP1
Any ideas on this? Have went through other forums and no suggestions did the fix. Is this a bug on Exchange 2007?

Hi,
Did you run get-Adpermission -identity "test1" -user "test2" command to confirm the user's send as permission has been lost?
Whether all the users have such issue or just only individual user?
Thanks

I am having the same exact issue of the "SEND AS" permissions just magically dissappearing after around 10 - 15 minutes. I ran the above code after setting SEND AS in the EMC, and it showed the proper AD permissions. After the SEND AS dissappeared by itself in the EMC, I re-ran the get-ADpermission... and the permission rights simply were gone.
Has anyone found a solution for this issue? I really need to be able to use the "SEND AS" permissions for several mail accounts, and I have not found any solid solutions anywhere.
Thanks!

This could happen if the user is a member of a protected group (like Domain Admins or Account Operators).
